To Dad, Love Harley
Happy Father's Day. Dad didn't seem very excited though. He slept half the day. [Dad: I did. It was very exciting.] I'm not sure why he'd be tired. Mom and he left me with Aunt Sandra on Friday night and went on a date. Then again, I did wake them up last night.
Lots of family came over today. I got to be held by like a hundred people.
I like drinking water from Dad's cups and bottles.
Mostly just 'cause it's Dad's and I wanna be just like him.
So I'm going to quick write this while Dad's out of the room...I know I said all that great stuff about my mom a few weeks back, but I want everyone to know that Dad is my favorite. There's a reason I'm saying "Dadadada." Who else flies me around the room like an airplane and tickles me until I can't breathe? Dads are good for lots of stuff, and they let you do things that moms never would like hang off the edge of the couch, pull the cat's hair and watch motorcycle shows on tv.
I want to be just like my dad when I grow up.

Am I crawling yet?
No. Closest I get is pushing backwards on the wood floors, or getting myself up on all fours.
I did pull myself into a sitting position today for the first time though. Mom and Dad were very surprised when they came to get me up from my nap. I've got another new noise too, "ThoThoDoDaDaDa" Mom looks slightly annoyed when I do it, and gives me to Dad.
Playing with my cousin David. Or was he just teasing me with his toy?
I'm not sure which. I had fun anyway.

Ready or Not
I'm so close to crawling I can't stand it! I can't sleep, I'm so excited. That's also because I can't keep myself from rolling onto my hands and knees. Mom and Dad are scrambling to get ready and baby proofed. Today Dad moved my crib down a notch when they saw me trying to pull myself up. I was able to pull myself into a sitting position today for the first time. Cool, huh?
I was really happy this week that Mom declared her cell phone a toy! [Michelle got a new phone.] It's the perfect size for chewing on and as soon as nobody's looking, I'm gonna turn it on and push the button for 911. Won't that be cool?
So I've had some requests to perform my new noise. Dad thinks it's really funny when Mom tries to copy me 'cause she can't do this. I'm such a show-off I do it all the time. Can anyone else do this? If not, you should really comment so Mom doesn't feel so left out. ;)
So... With no further ado... Lalala... Do Re Mi... Ahem...
Are all parents this nuts?
